Dog Fashion Theatre's Logo
The Dog Fashion Theatre is one of my favourite creations. It began with idea to demonstrate of models of dog clothes. Then usual clothes have added elegant decorative costumes. It has resulted in other concept of the demonstration in the form dramatized show. In addition to skill for beautiful and harmoniously to go on a podium, here already is need on special training of dogs for theatrical sketches.

The first show was in 1997 on a festival "the Animal World" (Kiev). Here were shown the collections of dog clothes created by Tatyana Ustiuganin and Elena Kosiak.

The theatre has seven demonstrators and nine four-footed models.
The dogs breeds are:
English Cocker Spaniel,
Chow Chow,
Whippet,
Poodle,
Chinese Crested Dog.
The Theatre appears on children's holidays, in school, on dog shows, various commercial exhibitions and entertaining actions.

The fragment of the Show with Whippet The show model at our theatre is the demonstrator togethe with his dog.
To create harmonious pair model not one day of persistent trainings and rehearsals is required. The demonstrator should be able to show himself as well as his dog. He represents a unique combination of show dog handler and fashion model.
On the one hand here is important the good bearing, the skill for easy, free and beautiful movement, the feeling of a rhythm and plasticity. With another - mutual understanding with an animal, the skill for good control of the dog and ability to not be taken aback in unexpected situations.

The appearance of Cocker Spaniel

The Show is difficult trial for a dog. A lot of the stranger people, the turmoil, the loud music, the light, the procedure of dressing and undressing are the strong stressful factors for an animal.
So dogs should correspond to the certain requirements. For them are obligatory quiet, peaceful temperament, obedience, the excellent walking on lead, quiet reaction to touches extraneous. It is desirable, that they were already accustomed to dressing.
The dog breed is not importance, but small and average dogs are preferable. From large dog is Dalmatian, Collie, Setter and them similar. Desirable age 1-4 years.

Our theatre's studio The show models for our theatre is training in the studio. The children from 7 till 16 years together with the dogs are accepted. The child without a dog can be accepted also, if in structure of theatre there is an animal, suitable to him. The training begin in September

The theatre is very needing for the sponsors. We have not enough means on by sewing costumes, rent payment, decors. The largest difficulty is finding a suitable premise for rehearsals. If you can help e-mail to me.
